Michele is a proud board member of CCWA and co-owner of Serendipity Cellars, where her love for winemaking and community come together every day. With a hands-on connection to the vineyard and a deep appreciation for the craft of winegrowing, Michele brings both industry knowledge and genuine enthusiasm to her work with the association.
As a board member, she’s dedicated to supporting fellow winegrowers, building connections within the community, and helping create events and opportunities that bring people together over great wine.

Kelli Nunn
Kelli Nunn is part of the Nunn family, whose roots in Brentwood agriculture run nearly 150 years deep, spanning third, fourth, and fifth generation farmers. Today, the family’s Orchard & Vine operation grows wine grapes alongside cherries, peaches, pumpkins, and more, with grapes sought after by winemakers throughout California and a portion kept back for their own award winning wines.
Kelli brings that generational knowledge of the land, and a genuine love for the Brentwood wine community, to her involvement with CCWA. She’s proud to be part of an association that supports fellow growers and helps preserve the region’s agricultural heritage, including efforts to establish the Contra Costa AVA.

Becky Bloomfield
Becky Bloomfield has been a board member of CCWA since the very beginning, helping shape the association into what it is today. Her long standing commitment to the organization reflects a deep love for the Contra Costa wine community and the growers who make it what it is.
Over the years, Becky has been a steady presence on the board, bringing dedication and institutional knowledge that comes from being there since day one. Her passion for supporting local winegrowers and building a strong, connected community continues to drive her involvement.

Debbie Francis
Debbie Francis is a board member of CCWA who spent many years as part of Hannah Nicole Vineyards, one of Brentwood’s beloved wineries. That experience gave her a deep appreciation for the craft of winemaking and the tight knit community that makes the Contra Costa wine scene so special.
Debbie continues to bring that passion and institutional knowledge to her work with the association, supporting fellow growers and helping keep the region’s winemaking spirit alive.

Frank Favalora
Frank Favalora is a board member of CCWA and the owner of Favalora Vineyards Winery in Oakley, where his passion for winemaking runs in the family. His vineyard, planted in 1999, carries on a legacy that traces back to his aunt and uncle’s 1902 vineyard, which inspired the name of his award winning Zinfandel, the “Planchon Clone.”
Frank brings his deep roots in the Contra Costa agricultural community and a genuine love for local winemaking to his work with the association, supporting fellow growers and helping preserve the region’s rich wine heritage.

Christopher Close-Thorn
Christopher is the Director of Operations at Hannah Nicole Vineyards, where he’s been part of the team since 2016. His connection to the winery runs deeper than his job title though, he was married on the property and was a devoted wine club member long before he ever joined staff.
Chris brings that same warmth to CCWA, believing every guest, whether at the winery or a CCWA event, should be treated like family. Depending on the season, you’ll find him pouring a crisp Viognier in the warmer months or a bold Cabernet Franc when it cools down, always ready to share a glass and a story.

John Viano
John is a board member of CCWA and a fifth generation farmer and fourth generation winemaker at his family’s winery, Viano Vineyards in Martinez. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Viticulture from Fresno State in 2013, bringing formal training to a craft that’s been in his family for generations.
For the past three years, John has served on the CCWA board, carrying forward the vision his father set out to build, bringing greater awareness to the quality of wine and grapes grown right here in Contra Costa.
