Meet Our Panel
Andrea L. Anderson
Andrea L. Anderson started her Compliance Company April 15 1989, prior to that she worked for Sonoma Vineyards, Chateau Souverain, Domaine Mumm and Louis M Martini. For some 47 years she has been providing compliance services to wineries, brand owners, grape growers who elect to get their grapes made into bulk wine. If you are selling wine, beer or distilled spirits Beer & Wine Services, Inc. can handle it. Many layers of Government Agency’s require attention Tax and Trade Bureau, California Alcoholic Beverage Control, California Department of Tax and Fee Administration, California Department of Food & Agriculture, CalRecycle, FDA and even Dunn & Bradstreet. Andrea makes her home not only in Sonoma County but the Barossa Valley of South Australia and Sedona, AZ.
Bryan Lucay
Bryan Lucay is the Winegrower, Winemaker and cofounder of Serendipity Cellars with Wife Michele. Bryan has been educating himself and continues to do so since 2006. Making wine at home for 12 years prior to his first commercial crush in 2020. Bryan has dedicated his time learning the terroir of East Contra Costa. Since the inception in 2020, Serendipity Cellars has completed its sixth harvest achieving many awards that include Best of Class, Double Gold, Gold, and Silver, ranking as high as 97 points for his wine.
Dennis Mobley
With more than a decade of winemaking experience, Dennis brings a hands-on, technical approach to crafting wines at Vino Olivo Winery. His experience spans the full winemaking process, from vineyard to harvest to bottling. In 2023, he earned his Certificate in Winemaking from UC Davis. With roots in Central California agriculture and a background in investment banking technology, Dennis combines respect for the land, attention to detail and a methodical approach to winemaking. He is passionate about producing distinctive, high-quality wines that reflect both the character of the vineyard and his own winemaking philosophy.
Frank Favalora
Owner and winemaker of Favalora Vineyards Winery. Frank planted his first vineyard in Oakley back in 1999, learning the craft from his father-in-law one row at a time. He founded Favalora Vineyards Winery in 2015 and still farms most of his own fruit on that same estate. Ask him about wine and be ready to also talk about life, he treats both the same way: don't overthink it, let it be what it wants to be.
Tom Bloomfield
Tom now farms Sweet Lou's Cherries and helps sons Mitchell and Patrick run the family farms. His family immigrated from Ireland in 1865 and began farming in Bay Point in the 1880s. His grandfather Harold bought the Bixler Ranch in 1945, still farmed by four generations of Bloomfields today. A Liberty Lion and Cal Poly SLO grad, Tom managed Ron Nunn Farms in Fresno for a decade before returning to Brentwood in 1994. In 1995 he planted the family's first wine grapes under contract with Kendall-Jackson and Beringer, eventually growing to 230 acres. As of September 2026, those vines are gone, replaced by almonds and cherries, though he remains confident California's wine industry has a bright future ahead. From 2004 to 2023, Tom and his wife Becky were commercial winemakers themselves, custom crushing outside the area under their own label, Bloomfield Vineyards.
John Viano
My name is John Conrad Viano. I’m a 5th generation farmer, and 4th generation winemaker at my family’s winery and vineyards, called Viano Vineyards in Martinez. In 2013, I graduated from Fresno State with a Bachelor’s Degree in Viticulture. The last 3 years I have served as a board member for the CCWA trying to continue the vision my father had of bringing awareness to the quality of wine and grapes grown in Contra Costa
